Tata Group Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran on Tuesday revealed plans to enter into Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) with 10 additional semiconductor companies to strengthen the ecosystem for semiconductor production and sales.
He added, "Today, it gives me great joy to observe semiconductor ecosystem players from all over the world. Many from our partner companies, ASMPT, DISCO, Besi, Cadence and Tokyo Electron (TEL)-all of these are already establishing a presence in the area. Today, we'll begin signing Mamorandum of Undersatnding (MoUs) with 10 additional partners."
Tata Group Chairman On Assam Govt
Participating in speaking at the Advantage Assam Investors Summit 2.0 in Guwahati The entrepreneur praised the Assam government to create the ideal environment to grow the semiconductor industry. He said it has established a new standard in this area.
"The energy of one Team and one vision that is the mantra of both Assam along with Tata Group" Tata Group has enabled the development of the projects at an extremely fast speed. Let me state this: Assam is, to our view is a model for good governance, transparency and listening to the industry as the key factor in encouraging industrial growth," he added.
India's Largest Semiconductor Chip Facility
Further in the direction of further development, Tata Group Chairman said Tata Group Chairman highlighted that the Tata Electronic Facility, which will be set up in Assam is expected to have an investment of 27,000 crore and will make 48 million chips every day.
He also said that it will be the biggest semiconductor facility, not just in India but in the entire region of Southeast Asia, creating over 30 thousand jobs.
